Interim National Head - Banquet Sales


A large Hotel Chain operating 14 hotels across India, offering exquisite banquet and catering services for a wide range of events. With a focus on delivering exceptional experiences, we are committed to enhancing our banquet sales revenue through strategic planning and effective team leadership.

Job Description:

As a National Head - Banquet Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth within the banquet segment across all 14 hotels of the group. Your primary objective will be to leverage your expertise in catering and F&B to understand and optimize existing banquet teams while building fresh sales teams in hotels where needed, ultimately aiming for a 2X increase in revenues in the short run.

Responsibilities:

Catering Expertise : Demonstrate a strong understanding of catering and F&B, both from production and service perspectives. Utilize your proven track record of handling large, small, and stylized catering events to enhance the quality and profitability of banquet services.

Revenue Enhancement: Develop and execute strategies to increase banquet and catering sales, working closely with existing teams and building new sales teams as necessary to achieve a 2X revenue growth target within a short timeframe.

Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing banquet sales team, providing Lead teams in metro areas and develop teams guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and the continuous improvement of sales processes.

Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including hotel staff, clients, and vendors, to drive collaboration and ensure the successful execution of banquet events.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with General Managers and other key stakeholders to develop comprehensive sales plans for the banquet segment, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to maximize sales potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate or Post Graduate with 15 - 18 years relevant experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in banquet sales or catering operations.

- Proven track record of success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth within the banquet segment.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.

Reporting : This position reports to the General Managers and maintains a functional reporting relationship with General Managers across all 14 hotels of the group.

The mission of this role is to develop sales for the banquet segment across all 14 hotels of the group, with a focus on achieving 2X increase in revenue. The key challenge lies in effectively managing existing teams, building new sales teams, and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth within the competitive banquet market.
