National Technical Manager Affordable Housing Finance

Job Description:

Role title: National Technical Manager

Function: Supportfinves

Designation: DVP

Department: Technical

Reports to: Head of Risk and Policy

Location: State HUB

Role purpose:

- Setting up and Managing Technical Due Diligence & Valuation Framework in the Region. Empanel, Review and Manage valuation agencies, Compliance with guidelines/ development rules & regulations in the region, build necessary skillset and awareness, database management. A solution Oriented approach and excellent decision making skills.

- Monitor the e-2-e Technical evaluation process in the region.

- On-going performance review of valuation agencies, work allocation, on-boarding etc.

- Segment markets basis property types. Identify properties and micro-markets with high risks of marketability, demolition, irregularities, violations, residual life etc.

- Create a database of negative / high-risk areas in discussion with Business, Collections and Risk.

- Strong liaison with valuation & legal agencies, brokers, developers and government agencies to remain abreast with real estate trends, new guidelines etc.

- Training & Awareness Program for Business, Underwriting, Policy & Collections.

- Project approvals (APF). Analyze new upcoming residential projects in the zone and facilitate its fast approval for funding, subsequent monitoring etc.

- Regular property visits basis trigger, supervisory oversight, property audit assistance etc.

- Help in Developing a "Technical Policy and Framework" and monitoring portfolio/ delinquencies related to technical aspects.

- Guide Underwriting & Business teams on case to case basis where necessary.

- Vetting of Valuation Reports to ensure accuracy.

- Guide and develop "technical policy" and monitor the portfolio/ delinquencies related to technical aspects.

- Develop checks and processes to control Frauds, build negative database for risky segments or areas with high risks of excess funding on properties e.g. circle rates, reference rates to credit team, database of properties under dispute as per securitization notices by different banks as public notices, properties under public notice/ court notice/ in tech agencies data base under dispute etc.)

- Hind sighting of Funded Property.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Graduate Engineer/B.Tech.

Exp:

- Minimum 5 - 7 years with leading players in Affordable Housing space in Technical Valuation Department.

- Good market insight and understanding of Real Estate landscape.

- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

- Must have technical / professional qualifications: Graduate Engineer/B.Tech.

Key performance indicators :

- Report Quality, TAT and Accuracy of Valuations

- MIS Direct reports: Technical Executives, Agencies
