Job Purpose:

The Facility Director will head the. His/her role exists to ensure that the hospital offers the highest-possible quality health care in an affordable and efficient manner while remaining financially viable for the long term.

Primary responsibilities for the position include:

- Managing NH- the strategic and the day-to-day operations of the entire hospital, clinical and managerial, ensuring that all departments are fully and comprehensive staffed to the extent possible and liaising with and supervising all clinical departments, medical and nonmedical staff to ensure delivery of medical services of high quality affordable healthcare. This will be done in collaboration and with the help of the Medical Superintendent, Head of Nursing, Non Medical Head, Heads of Finance, Marketing, HR and Supply Chain.

- Ensuring that the facility supports the hospital clinical work with sound financial investments, adequate staffing patterns, and strict adherence to NH policies and procedures.

- Implementing and facilitating channels of communication within medical and nonmedical staff to ensure that NH delivers high-quality medical services in a harmonious manner, following a team approach reflecting NH Core iCARE Values.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides strategic leadership to NH: Ensures a current and living strategic plan and budget and ensures that operational plans align to these documents. Manages resource requirements (e.g., expenditure, human resource planning) necessary to deliver against the objectives.

2. Represents NH in critical stakeholder meetings, including General Body Meetings, Finance and Audit Committee Meetings and other Internal Review Meetings.

3. While maintaining full responsibility in all areas and monitoring as deemed necessary, delegates most day-to-day activities to Medical Superintendent, Non Medical Head, Heads of Finance, HR, SCM etc.

4. Leads Doctor Engagement programs and work with clinicians in delivering affordable quality healthcare through clinical excellence and program interventions.

5. Prepares activity reports and works with the Finance Head to prepare financial reports for the monthly meetings of the Board and assists with interpretation of Union and State rules and regulations.

6. Maintains diligent monitoring of all financial activity through the use of a system of responsible accounting, including budget and internal controls, and an annual independent audit.

7. Assures that superior quality, innovative and technologically advance services and treatment are provided to all patients. Takes and implements appropriate action as needed to enhance care.

8. Assists in monitoring and developing internal processes and makes changes as needed to continuously enhance service delivery and improve cost effective operations.

9. Determines Staffing, personnel requirements: reviews and gives performance evaluations.

10. Promotes a culture of compliance with government and NH Group policies, rules, and regulations.

11. Promotes and nurtures a culture of good stewardship, accountability, and transparency at all levels of hospital operations.

12. Ensures favourable staff working environment within approved budget and needs.

13. Evaluates and monitors physical facilities ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff. Takes action as needed to address patient and staff needs.

14. Together with the NH Legal Head, is responsible for representing and or/delegating representation in the event of any legal issue.

15. Participates in internal teams and/or committees and external meetings as required to benefit the organisation. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of the latest trends in healthcare.

Candidate Requirements:

Competencies and Skills

- Deep passion for access to healthcare and social change with strong Leadership Skills.

- Qualification: Top MBA Institute with overall of 16+ years of experience into hospital operations with at least 5+ years in senior management roles.

- A diplomatic personal style, with excellent communication, networking and stake holder management skills.

- Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written and must be able to effectively prepare, present and discuss reports and studies with management, physicians, Board members and other appropriate groups and individuals.

Essential leadership characteristics and competencies:

- Exceptional strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate these skills into flawless operational plans, ensuring implementation of best practices and a competitive advantage for NH.

- Exceptional problem-solving ability- both systematic and data based; the ability to be creative and intuitive, with a flair for thinking outside the box.
