Narang Group - Senior Manager/Head - Sourcing & Production Planning

I. JOB DETAILS :

Job Title : Senior Manager/ Head - Sourcing & Production Planning

Department : Supply Chain

II. JOB PURPOSE :

- Would be responsible for sourcing and planning of all Narang brands

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Core Responsibilities :

- Monthly review of the RM-PM inventory levels (managed by NG) based on the forecast and initiate advance purchase / procurement function for the material requirements

- Consolidate RM/PM requirements based on the stock levels at co-packers and forecast and prepare material requirements plan

- Responsible for annual capacity planning, RCCP and periodical review of current capacities and alignment with co-packers

- Develop supply plans, alignment with demand plan and issues for escalation to review meeting in the S&OP processes

- Provide the production plan to co-packers according to batch size and cases/ batch estimation

- Coordinate with the co-packers for production and tracking the production lead time, production plan completion, and FG delivery to CFA

- Follow-up with the internal team for release of purchase order, timely delivery of RM/PM at the co-packers and tracking supply lead times

- Ensure timely release of monthly/fortnightly production plan to co-packers and adherence to plan

- Ensure the SLAs are adhered with the Co-packers

- Develop alternate source for RM and alternate contract manufacturing options as co-packers

- Sourcing, negotiating, contracting of RM-PM for own brands

- Sourcing and procurement of POSM items

- Prepare RFQs, bid tabulation, L1/L2/L3 classification, negotiate price with selected vendors

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum Qualifications :

- Graduate/PG with additional qualification in procurement

Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in purchasing in FMCG/food/beverages industries

Technical Skills :

- Ability of managing cost performance

- Capacity to build relationships externally

- Strong analytical and commercial skills required to succeed

- Negotiation skills

- Knowledge of packaging materials, plastics and food ingredients

- Familiarity with reverse auctions, strategic sourcing
