Senior Development Manager

Job Description :

- This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities :

- Own complete product development cycle

- Responsible for leading a team of technical leads, software engineers in the design, development, unit testing, and implementation of Healthcare related IT products.

- Coordinate all stakeholders (Business analyst, QC ) to ensure compliance to the company's development methodology

- Accountable for leading the development of the core Napier products based on extensible and scalable Java technologies and will drive the next generation technology innovation, product development and implementation in line with the evolving US market.

- Plan the complete development life-cycle with inputs from stakeholders

- Ensure compliance to the agreed design and architecture

- Ensure that the software deliverables meet the company's quality standards

- Ensure compliance to metrics of development

- The ideal candidate would have experience in developing generic software healthcare products rather than custom software development / implementation projects. This would have design implications in the areas of internationalization, localization, personalization, configurability and plug and play functionality,

- Experience in developing software using different methodologies - Agile experience would be a key advantage

- Experience in handling different aspects of product development such as product management, design, development, testing and implementation

- (For one of the available positions) Direct experience of working in the US healthcare market in developing software that meets and exceeds the HIPAA 2014 HIT Certification Program will be an advantage.

- Adhere to all the organization policies/ guidelines and process/ procedures

Desirable Skills :

- Technically strong in design concepts - Enterprise grade applications, Mobile applications, workflow, design patterns, Rich Internet Applications,

- Proficiency with core java, J2EE and its associated open-source framework technologies. In particular, hands on experience in spring (2.x +), J2EE, Hibernate (3.x) and JavaScript frameworks such as extJS and jQuery is required.

- About 5 - 8 years of work experience in the healthcare domain is desirable especially in the areas of Hospital Information Systems, Laboratory Information Systems and Electronic Medical Records.

- Has independently led at least 2 major product development efforts as the overall manager with a team size of at least 15 resources

- Experience in developing software within CMMI/ISO development processes

- Good understanding of object oriented analysis and design and data models

- Experience in BPM and direct experience using any BPM product will be an advantage

Qualification : B.E/B. Tech/MCA/M. Tech/ME/MS
