Nanoheal - Strategy Associate - M&A/Capital Raising/Investment (2-5 yrs)
About the role
This high visibility role will be focused on strategy definition, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and investments. Primary focus will be on the following.
a) Understanding industry trends and defining solution landscapes for target areas
b) Identifying and interacting with acquisition target companies that are aligned with the strategic objectives and related valuations
c) Interacting with investors (private equity and venture capital firms) and target companies
d) Managing the transaction process, including but not limited to valuations (creating financial models), acquirer and target company communication, investor interactions and transaction closure
This is a high impact and high visibility role and a great opportunity for the right person to learn and grow, in an entrepreneurial setting. This role will be a great stepping stone for careers in entrepreneurship, senior management, venture capital and private equity. Successful candidates will have key learning in the following categories:
a) Understanding of the mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, strategic sales, venture capital / private equity process
b) Developing relationships with senior people within venture capital, private equity, entrepreneurial and established technology companies
c) Development of personal skills like presentation and communication abilities and confidence through interaction with senior management and industry leaders
d) Understanding of the strategic trends in Artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Tnings (IoT), Automation, Robotics and customer support.
Successful candidates demonstrate intellectual curiosity, persistence, presence of mind, maturity and excellent communication skills. Start date is immediate. Requirements for this role include:
a. Prior experience (2 to 5 years) in investment banking (M&A) and / or equity research
b. Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically
c. Course work and background in finance, mathematics, business, engineering, etc
d. Very good academic performance, Strong quantitative skills
e. Proficiency in excel and financial modeling, use of databases like Capital IQ
f. Excellent communication and writing skills, pleasing personality
g. Entrepreneurial attitude and confidence
h. International exposure and experience is preferred.
Position will be ideally based in Bangalore, India, but open to promising candidates from other geographies.
