Nanda Group - Data Analyst

This role helps Organisation to become the leading source of information by ensuring the highest listing data quality standards are met, and by expanding our geographic coverage, including introducing new data types and sources. You will work cross-functionally with company leadership, product managers, engineers, support teams, and other analysts to grow and maintain the data platform.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis expertise and application development of company business analytics through existing business intelligence and reporting platforms.

This role will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, consult on effective performance measurements and develop necessary reporting dashboards that execute against strategic business plans.

Job Purpose :

- Analysing, interpreting, and identifying data trends to create engaging, easy to use reports via Power BI and SSRS

- Designing dashboards for internal stakeholders using working knowledge of different types of charts, tables, filters, details, and functions

- Collaborating with the business to identify, investigate and evaluate data quality

- Uncovering areas for improvement and working with the key stakeholders to recommend reporting solutions on data quality issues

- Assisting with any adhoc reporting requirements

- Examine and evaluate the purpose and content of business reports to develop new or improve existing, format, use and control

- Review report to determine the characteristics such as the report flow, frequency and purpose/function of report

- Collaborate with business analyst and stakeholders, processing reports to identify problems and to gather insights for improvements

- Recommend and document the establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures

- Understand new system changes as they affect data sources, reports and make necessary changes to the existing reports

- Design and build new reports to cater the business requirements

- Provide support, train and coach the business on the Power BI platform

- Running workshops and training sessions

- Managing stakeholders, Requirements gathering with stakeholders

- Documenting requirements

Experience and Skill Required :

- Qualifications in an IT or related business discipline

- Technical support focused experience

- Strong Knowledge on DAX programming and query language

- Good communication and mediation skills, and the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders with a consultative approach where there may be conflict

- Good presentation skills and the ability to demonstrate high levels of credibility to various levels of stakeholders, who are both technical and non-technical

- A strategic mindset which hears needs and requirements which the client may not even themselves be aware of

- Experience working in MS SQL Server 2012/ 2014/ 2017 , Microsoft Management Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2012/2008R2/2008, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI
