Product & Selection Business Analyst - Role: (ProductOps)

This role is responsible for improving product selection & inventory bets, through deeper understanding of what type of products are working well with our customers. As a ProductOps business analyst, you will identify & develop a deep knowledge of product attributes and drive the implementation for capturing & analyzing the critical product-level information required to make better selection choices.

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, is not afraid to step out of their comfort zone, and has strong attention to detail and follow through. He or she must have a high degree of comfort working on detail-oriented work in apparel products & specification. He or she must not be afraid to step out of their comfort zone, and develop the knowledge wherever needed, and quickly become a domain expert.

He or she will support the business manager and work with different teams across Myntra, to build a detailed understanding of the business requirement and demonstrate ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft data-driven solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. He or she must be enthusiastic about managing complex projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders across multiple teams, and must be comfortable working with large amounts of data to make decisions and build business cases.

Responsibilities

- Gain a deep understanding of product and selection insights

- Develop in-depth understanding of categories and customer needs regarding selection and products, by reviewing the internal & external data

- Conduct market research for an assigned topic to dig out relevant data and insights

- Conduct analysis for assigned business problem by collecting data from internal and external sources and perform analysis to get answers to business questions.

- Ensure complete data instrumentation, measurement, analysis and reporting to support business decisions

- Identify, define, collect, and track key business metrics that impact overall goals

- Pull data required to conduct business analysis, build reports, dashboards and metrics to monitor the performance

- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools.

- Independently identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business

- Communicate key metrics and business trends to the management team

- Put together excel models for business scenario analysis

Basic qualifications, required for any business analyst:

- 2+ years of relevant experience

- MBA from Tier-1 B Schools

- Proficiency in Excel and with running SQL queries

- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

- Strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation, with strong attention to detail

- Self-directed focus and ability to prioritize within an ambiguous environment

- Ability to execute and follow through on high-quality output, with limited oversight

- Willingness to respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders

Preferred qualifications:

- 4+ years of experience, with some ecommerce, product management, or consulting experience

- Deep domain expertise in fashion products and clothing / textile apparel specifications
