Objective of Role : To handle the legal matter/ disputes/ contracts of MEE  Reporting To : CS & Legal Head  Responsibilities:  Legal Function  - Responsible for Drafting/vetting of legal documents/contracts pertaining to commercial/banking/ financial institutions.  - Responsible for drafting and signing contracts with the new distributors and C& F agents.  - To look after signing contractual agreements with retail chains.  - Responsible for drafting and filing appeals, applications and represent the company before various legal/statutory/other authorities for matters concerning the operations  - Briefing counsels, defending litigations- PIL, recovery, civil, criminal etc.  - Engaging in contractual agreements with suppliers and international customers.   - Responsible for Drafting, Registration & Stamping legal documents for asset procurement and real asset acquisition and facilitate statutory record Management.  - To file legal suit for recoveries from government (tax, utilities) authorities, suppliers, others.   - Developing and managing the systems which ensure that the company complies with all applicable codes as well as its legal and statutory requirements.  - Confer with Legal Head, in signing contractual agreements with suppliers, channel partners, customers and other third parties.  - To act as Custodian of all the legal contracts that company has associated with internal or external parties.  - To handle all legal matters, Criminal or Civil with third parties and advice the management in decision making process for settlement of the disputes or taking necessary legal actions.   - Briefing counsels, defending litigations- PIL, recovery, civil, criminal etc  - To ensure renewal of trade marks of group companies in the stipulated time and registration of documents with the sub registrar of assurance.  - To facilitate documentation of various financial facilities with banks, and other financial institutions and corporate houses.  - Coordinate in statutory and legal matters related to RBI and Foreign Exchange Management.  - To coordinate with Legal Head, in fulfilling all the statutory formalities for the Formation of new companies.  Experience & Qualifications:   - 6-10 years Experience in handling legal/company secretary function.  - Preferably an LLB and CS with rich experience in FMCG / Renewable energy industry   - Functional Competencies: Compliance with legal Acts  - Capable of following decision which involve interpretation of the laws;
