Objective of Role:

To Head the commercial team of MEE managing the commercial function of all branches in the country

Role Description

Commercial Function:

- Responsible for overseeing commercial functions like Branch Accounts, debtor management, Credit Control, Expense Tracking, All Applicable Taxes, Domestic Logistics, etc. across all branches.

- To plan and define delegation of power and escalation clause for all the key managers/executives handling commercial function for effective internal control.

- To ensure that all the commercial functions (Debtor Management, Credit Control, Expense Tracking, etc.) of Branches are diligently carried and meet all statutory requirements.

- To confer with CFO and Head, Sales and Marketing and define the credit policy for the company with respect to credit limits setup, blocking of debtor accounts, exceptional clauses, etc. and communicate clear guidelines for adherence of the same.

- To set standards across all regions for debtor management, credit period, incentives in conference with regional sales managers.

- To prepare annual operation and budgetary plan for all the branches in close coordination with all the branch managers and monitor the same at regular intervals for analyzing the deviations from the set parameters.

- To setup systems and procedures for Branch operations that shall act as a guideline for all the branches for its day to day work.

- Maintain effective business relations with representatives of the Government, consumer organizations and all significant others in the cities where MEE has its branch setup.

- To keep track of all the state government regulations related to Fuel business and to communicate the same to the respective branch managers for necessary changes in its operations.

- To set a guideline for data management (Data Capture/Backup) and handling documents for all the branches and ensure best usage of technology for the same.

- Act as representative of the management for conducting feasibility study for new branch locations, asset procurement, setting up new depots and warehouses across regions.

- To ensure that there is smooth and timely inbound and outbound movement of Fuel within the sales regions covered by different Branch office.

- To keep proactive track & trace of movement Fuel to manage maximum efficiency & optimum stock inventory and timely delivery of goods.

- Responsible for developing guidelines for disaster management - Fire, robbery, etc.

- Responsible for getting all the necessary permission for operating fuel stations across different regions.

- To closely coordinate with Sales & Marketing and Finance Department for setting up standards, policies and procedures.

- To analyze the trends, deviations in consolidated Monthly MIS report of all the branches and recommend necessary action plan.
