Job Title : Legal, Compliance and Risk - Shared Services Base Location : Mumbai, India Reporting To : CFO, India Experience : 2-5 years Employment Status : Full Time Employee Job Purpose : - Develop, implement and maintain the Legal, Compliance and Risk related framework including related controls, compliance and reporting Key Responsibilities : Support and guidance for managers and employees on Compliance topics: - Provide advice and review on compliance matters Ensure MRIB operates within all relevant Corporate and Legal &amp; compliance requirements: - Ensure all compliance related notices from regulators (primarily IRDAI Compliances) are timely addressed in accordance with the Notice. - Coordinate and ensure response to emerging compliance requirements. - Preparation and presentation in executive committee meetings incl. minutes. - Ensure timely update of other company law registers and filing of Annual Return to ROC/other regulators as applicable. Ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial/Compliance reporting: - Review monthly and quarterly internal and regional reports for accuracy. - Ensure timely submission of reports before statutory or internally set deadlines including support for IRDAI Inspections/other regulatory inspections. - Ensure Regional and Group Compliances are implemented at the Branch. - Support implementation of Regional and Group Risk frameworks at the Branch. - Ensure data protection/Cyber Security related advisory from Group Compliance and IRDAI is implemented at the Branch. - Ensure providing legal advisory/vetting of legal agreements and other legal documents as required as per regulatory requirements Any other functions/ tasks/ activities/ responsibility assigned by the manager: - Be flexible and adaptive to accept any other duties to ensure that the work is completed in atimely manner. Education &amp; Experience: - Overall experience of about at least 2 to 5 years in the General Insurance /Life Insurance/Reinsurance Industry/Insurance Intermediaries (essential). - Functional experience of Compliance/Risk and/or Legal (preferred). - Hands on experience in managing IRDAI/regulatory reporting (preferred). - Preferable qualifications are CS/MBA/LLB/Risk Management/other insurance or financial sector related qualifications to fit the role.
