IPD is a global information business, dedicated to the objective measurement of commercial real estate performance. POSITION OVERVIEW:

- Support head of IPD BMU finance function to provide accurate and insightful financial analysis to IPD management; and support evaluation of business performance and business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide accurate and insightful financial analysis to IPD management; and support evaluation of business performance and business decisions.

- Monitor financial reporting and provide explanations:-

- Monthly management accounts v budget and last year

- Quarterly management accounts for inclusion in MSCI published financial information

- Product specific information

- EZ pack (sales, headcount etc)

- With the head of the IPD BMU finance function, work with IPD management to set long-term strategic plans, annual budget (Operating Plan) and quarterly reforecasts, in accordance with MSCI requirements.

- Sales and revenue analysis, including revenue recognition, sales pipeline, pricing support, sales productivity, growth targets, regional/country performance, product performance.

- Expense analysis, including product development, product costs, regional/country costs, IT costs, capital costs, return on investment.

- Finance support on special projects requested by IPD management.

- Assist Controllers’ team with ensuring systems functioning effectively in all local offices (includes ensuring local transactions captured by central systems).

- Work with MSCI Finance function, including Controllers, FP&A and other MBU finance functions, especially Index.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Qualified accountant (CPA, AMA, CIMA or equivalent) or equivalent long experience (at least six years in a role for a qualified accountant).

- Experience of providing financial support to management.

- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

- Self-starting, motivated, driven.

- Can develop a plan, communicate and execute, including presenting financial information in written form, in meetings and on the phone in simple, clear terms.

- Problem solving abilities.
