Your team responsibilities:

You will play a key role in defining the data product roadmap and prioritization as well as driving execution of MSCI Real Asset data initiatives. This role will drive the analysis of business and customer requirements and transform them into well-designed data products and features. The Business Analyst has strong analytical skills and communication, as well as, a belief that data driven processes lead to great products. Your key responsibilities:

- Working as part of a growing team of real estate performance analysts who provide real estate direct property indexes, benchmarks, performance analysis reports, and custom/ bespoke analysis to global real estate asset managers and asset owners

- Comprehend a characteristic or legal/financial mechanism of the commercial real estate market to translate into a user story and set of requirements for development

- Develop, implement, and test business logic's impact on data input and output

- Based on analysis, develop project proposals or implementation strategies as necessary and present to management

- Distill and present complex ideas into a clear and concise visual representation

- Elicit stakeholder needs, investigate, and clarify desires to understand issues and causes

- Solve product problems to make MSCI Real Assets data inbound/outbound pipeline more effective

- Generate ideas from data and user testing to drive initiatives, decisions, and the product roadmap

- Measure success with actionable metrics to optimize the iterative process

- Work closely with all key stakeholders, including business executives, engineering leadership and peer product owners, to prioritize and ensure that product development is focused and impactful.

- Be able to work autonomously with developers to assess feasibility of ideas, implement your designs to spec and ship great products

- Commercial real estate knowledge a plus

Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to define metrics that tell the right story in the data.

- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, R, SAS, and Tableau or other BI and/or data visualization tools is preferred.

- The ideal applicant is well-organized, exceptionally detail-orientated, resourceful, comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment, and has an analytical mindset with a curiosity for commercial real estate.
