Accounting Associate


Your team responsibilities :


This position is responsible for managing legal entity controllership for subsidiaries based in India and Singapore, ensuring compliance and accuracy in Statutory reporting and compliances.

Your key responsibilities :

Operational management :

- Prepare, review and enter journal entries into SAP.

- Participate in month-end, quarterly, annual closings for corporate reporting in line with the group and local timetables.

- Assist in the preparation of the company's subsidiary financial statements.

- Support/coordinate internal and statutory audits.

- Perform reconciliations of cash, payroll, prepaid expense, accrued expense and other balance sheet accounts and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.

- Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.

- Participate in projects impacting legal entities, controller processes or finance systems with a view to transforming the company's finance processes through technology automation.

- Assist as necessary in the calculation and booking of the tax provisions.

- Regularly interacting with bankers to ensure smooth operations.

Statutory compliances :

- Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all related statutory compliances, depositing of Statutory dues, STPI, RBI filings.

- Managing statutory audits, finalizing the year end financials, SOX audit and Internal Financial Control (IFC) verifications.

- Managing direct and indirect tax filings.

- Stay updated with all relevant regulatory changes to ensure correctness and compliance.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel :

- Graduate and CA Inter with 6-7 years of experience of handling controllership function including handling of statutory audits, tax filings (Direct and Indirect Tax).

- Experience of handling of Singapore entities would be an added advantage.

- Preferably has handled accounting under IND-AS.

- Preferably should have handled financials of organization with multiple locations including overseas locations.

- Sound knowledge of rules and regulations related to compliance requirements.

- Preferably have experience of using SAP.

- Sound knowledge of MS Excel.

- Have good communication skills and experience in dealing/communicating with employees at all levels.

- Person will be required to physically operate from office location on as-needed basis.
