Purpose of the Role:

The Business Analyst - CEOs Office role reports directly into the CEO - Retail.

The purpose of the role is :

1. To support the CEO by providing valuable business insights, to aid in making business decisions by tracking, monitoring and exploring business KPIs/metrics

2. To manage short and medium term projects such as cost initiatives, new store performance tracking/ reporting, business modelling, competition tracking etc.

3. To lead automation projects including MIS automation, creating dashboards of business review scorecards, digital hypermarket to enable hypermarkets to move to next level

4. To collaborate with internal teams and help improve hypermarket processes and systems

5. To come to meaningful conclusions by processing, analyzing and interpreting large data sets and use the findings to solve business problems

6. To create a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Business Insights :

- Variance analysis against set KPIs

- Analyze all business KPIs on regular basis and give inputs aiding business decisions

- Support on Monthly shareholder meeting on business performance creation of presentation/decks

- Solve long-term for key issues facing the format in a strategic way of solving by deeper understanding/analysis of business

- Create smart dashboards for management to view in a glance

- Handhold the entire budgeting process for hypermarket format

2. Program Management :

- Optimize hypermarket store model for future readiness

- Design and Run pilots/experiments on hypothesis on business improvements along with leadership team

- Maximize productivity of staff by process improvement ideas with business

- Benchmark with best-in-class for all key processes

- Skill improvement ideas by using processes/technology cashiers/pickers, etc.

- Ways to Reduce operating costs to globally best levels by process benchmarking

- Along with leadership team, work on possible new hypermarket business projects eg. Help incubate and create compact store model for large e-commerce pin codes (10k sqft.)

3. Automation :

- Dashboard designing for all input variables creating impact on hypermarkets

- Support the CEO in ecommerce business by improving efficiency parameters

- Work towards automating most tasks in terms of business MIS using available tools

Knowledge / Education:

1. Expertise in BI tools and techniques

2. Knowledge in SQL and Python are preferred

3. Tier 1/2 MBA preferred

Competencies:

1. Exposure in Business Process Optimization

2. Expertise in working with multiple stakeholders

3. Expertise in working on multiple concurrent work-streams

4. Oral and written communication skills

5. Interpersonal and consultative skills

6. Facilitation skills

7. Analytical thinking and problem solving

8. Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
