Role/Responsibilities :

The Role :

- The Senior Manager role has the responsibility of managing a team who provides support across Moodys Corporation on expense management along with cost accounting.

- The team is responsible for conducting and processing large amounts of financial data on a regular basis.

- The Senior Manager will review the teams work providing feedback and guidance and communicates any risk to the appropriate level

Key Responsibilities :

Lead a team supporting senior members of the Finance organization in the execution of financial planning and analysis processes, projects, and ad-hoc requests as required by the Finance organization by embracing the following responsibilities :

- Partner with other teams in Business Planning to foster good working relationships with the rest of the organization

- Lead and drive various meetings with senior management on key financial metrics including the development of new analytics and identifying key focus areas developing materials for senior management presentations

- Implement best practices for enhancements to current processes and reporting, including driving the standardization of activities across business planning to harness efficiencies

- Provide support on the analytical, forecasting, month end and variance analysis reporting inclusive of expense research / support

- Collaborate in the preparation of the monthly reports and variance analysis that will help identify key focus areas for management

- Provide support for cost and project accounting ensuring expenses are booked to the correct location driving high quality financial reporting

- Provide formal guidance or on the job training to all team members

- Lead and guide special projects as assigned by Senior Finance management

Qualifications :

Experience/Qualifications :

- Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other quantitative field (e.g. MBA, CPA/CA, CIMA, ACCA)

- 5 7 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and analysis processes and modelling, or equivalent. Business intelligence tools, and data science experience is a plus

- Excellent verbal & written English skills

- Exposure to multidimensional reporting applications is essential (e.g. Hyperion Planning and Essbase)

- Detail and data quality oriented and capable to summarize and effectively communicate findings/analysis to senior stakeholder management

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferably: Office 365), financial modeling and related financial systems

- Advanced analytical decision-making, and problem-solving skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts

- Experience supervising and mentoring analysts, preferably as a direct line report and working with senior leaders on financial planning and/or reporting

- Desire to deal with high-level problem-solving skills and covering new challenges

- Excellent attention to detail, able to work large amounts of data, able to assess others team members deliverables

- Proactiveness, ensuring alignment with business requirements and management expectation

- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team by interacting and collaborating with members of other teams across the organization

- Demonstrates flexibility with last minute changes in commitments, deadlines, and meetings attendance

- Share knowledge of business performance and market to provide guidance to the other team members and assist to senior management

- Highly motivated, participative as a change agent mentality that can provide financial leadership
