Sr. Area Sales Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meeting Sales Targets:
- To achieve volume & value sales of products across categories, geographies & Retail Environments. Ensuring Distribution & Visibility
- To ensure distribution across RLAs & Wholesalers & open new retail outlets & Wholesalers.
- To do coverage analysis and reach targeted Wholesalers & retailers as per goals.
- To ensure proper visibility of products across retails outlets & Wholesalers.
Maintaining Commercial Hygiene:
- To coordinate commercial activities, ensure timely collections, timely claim submission & maintaining ROI tracker. RD Management
- To align & drive the RD system towards targeted Goals & Objectives as aligned with the company.
- To ensure timely RD uploads on Meranet (Company software). Team Building & Motivating
- To manage and ensure training and development of his team of Re- Distributor Salesmen, Merchandisers, Pilot Salesman & TSIs.
- To manage Re- Distributor Salesmen for efficient delivery & ensure regular upgradation of Re- Distributor Salesmen.
- To work closely with & monitor working of Purple Force.
- To ensure maximum incentive earnings for RDSM & Pilot team.
Depot & Stock Handling :
- To manage inventories, FIFO, stock levels & Inventory Health Index as per company norms
- To liaise with ASM & Commercial department to ensure timely feeds to the stockiest and take action in the event of damaged stock.
Others:
- To provide market intelligence, monitor competitor activities and awareness on the competitor's strengths and weakness.
- To participate in product launches and promotional activities.
- To maintain and leverage strong relationships with Retailers & Wholesalers.
Qualifications :
Career experience required and role implications :
Technical & Behavioral skills:
- Negotiation and customer management skills
- Expertise in Managing Distributors & Retailers
- Meeting Sales Target
- Depot & Stock handling Behavioral Competencies
- Graduate/Post Graduate (Sales & Marketing) with min 3-5yrs FMCG experience in Traditional Trade
- Proficiency in computers

- Team building & management
