Role: Senior Manager/Associate Director - Category & BD

Purpose of the Job : To manage and successfully drive an SBU consisting of multiple product categories over an e-commerce driven channel, while achieving targets against the KPIs as per the system. This role demands the candidate to be a go-getter who has a knack for problem-solving and growth hacking.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Responsible to strategize & lead the Category Management

- Use sophisticated thought leadership, and development skills to execute tasks and drive the category team and their performance

- Lead your category managers to ensure adequate inventory is ordered and placed in the correct stores allowing for maximum sales and regional sales differences

- Ensure that category strategy is consistently deployed by the team of category managers

- Maximizing the inventory turns in the categories while maintaining an adequate in stock position to maximize sales

- Identifies and resolves unique situations of substantial significance in the category

- Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in a complicated and/or novel situation

Skills and Knowledge required

- Excellent quantitative, qualitative data management skills

- Outstanding skills in preparation and presentation

- Enjoys working with people, demonstrates leadership skills, maintaining the right balance between task and human aspects of management

- Has strong networking skills - building continuous lines of communication with seniors, juniors, peers for expertise and perspective sharing

- Reasonable understanding of research methods and high levels of agility to learn new research methods

Other details

- Strong oral and written communication skills, experience in academic writing would add to the credentials

- The position is based out of Delhi but would frequently include managing clients in other parts of the country and outside country as well

- Developing the capability of support teams and units would be a critical aspect that needs to be looked at by the person in the position to develop the platform for more efficient service delivery through process enhancement
