Vendor Development Lead (Manager)
The role is largely to handle the commercial aspects of the company's supply business from getting supplier partners, business partners to closing deals for a long term and short term mutually fruitful business relationship maintaining a healthy account management.
The primary job responsibilities can be summed up as follows :
Market Research on Business prospects & Lead generation :
- Researching and carrying out due diligence/market study to understand and identify the prospective supplier/client partners
- Mapping the zones/clusters for suitable prospects exploration
- Carrying out business intelligence exercise to mine useful data/info about the prospects
Planning and preparing the partnership proposal :
- Planning the right approach to reach out to the prospects through various channels - calls, mailers, social media etc.
- Planning the right communication content and channel strategy
- Maximizing the conversion in the planning and preparation stage
Implementation and conversion of leads into business partnerships :
- Implementing the right communication strategy in converting the lead
- Presentations by visit, if required to ensure right business relationship is built up
- Guiding the partner through the internal process of listing on our platform
Vendor Account Management :
- Maintaining a healthy business relationship with the key partners as key accounts
- Ensuring all operational and issues are resolved in the process of partnership
- Maintaining right communication to the partners from time to time through various channels and occasions
Desired candidate background :
- Graduate (Any discipline preferably BSc/B-Tech/BE) + Post Graduate in Management / MBA from reputed institute in Sales & Marketing
- 3-6 years of relevant experience (preferably in B2B corporate sales/Channel Sales / Procurement & Sourcing / Engineering/manufacturing/Hi-tech) with traveling experience
- Highly motivated and sales oriented with go-getter and never give-up attitude with strong leadership skill
- Outgoing, inclined to socializing, networking in business events, professional set up
- Excellent communications & presentation skill (both Written / Verbal)
- Excellent analytical skill and proficiency in Spreadsheet working
- Multi-tasking with skills in Marketing, Brand development, agency relations, external communications expertise
- Proven track record of leadership in college/university and professional organization
- Willingness and interest in working a start-up environment
- Inclination toward streamlining and simplifying process, setting up business process
