Senior Manager - Reconciliation
Job Description:
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement reconciliation policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the reconciliation of complex financial accounts, including bank accounts, general ledger accounts, intercompany accounts, and investment accounts.
- Review and analyze reconciliation reports, identifying discrepancies, variances, and trends, and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, operations, and IT, to ensure timely and accurate data collection and reconciliation.
- Monitor and evaluate reconciliation processes, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and standardization to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to reconciliation, and recommend and implement relevant enhancements to the reconciliation process.
- Prepare and present reconciliation-related reports, metrics, and analysis to senior management, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
What you'll possess:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in reconciliation, accounting, or financial operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and reconciliation methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex reconciliation issues.
- Proficiency in using financial software and reconciliation tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to reconciliation in the relevant industry (e.g., fintech, finance, insurance) is a plus.
