MobiKwik is India's leading FinTech platform. We have expanded our suite of financial products for consumers and merchants from payments to digital credit to investments. Our mission is to build a world-class digital banking platform for Bharat! Founded in 2009 by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku, MobiKwik today has 135 million registered users who can make payments for all their daily life needs, including utility bills, eCommerce shopping, food delivery, and shopping at large retail chains, mom & pop (kirana) stores, etc. across a 4 million strong merchant network.

With credit card penetration in India at an abysmal 3.5%, we launched digital credit in 2018 with an aim to address the credit needs of a large and growing base of digitally savvy users. With 30 million credit pre-approved users, MobiKwik is focused on providing this unserved Indian population their first experience of credit. MobiKwik is a fast-growing scaled fintech which turned profitable in 2021 (2 profitable quarters Q3 and Q4 FY22), setting itself apart from all its peers. It ended FY2022 with INR 5.4 bn in revenue, recording 80% YoY growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager - CS

About the role: As a seasoned Company Secretary, you will be responsible for supporting & managing various corporate governance functions, including board meetings, legal compliance, and communication with stakeholders. Your expertise will contribute to the company's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, promoting ethical conduct, and enhancing the overall governance framework.

What you'll do:

- Prepare comprehensive agendas, papers, and supporting materials for board meetings, committees, and annual general meetings (AGMs). Follow up on action points arising from these meetings.

- Capture accurate and concise minutes of meetings, draft resolutions, and facilitate the submission of required forms and annual returns to relevant regulatory authorities.

- Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of company policies, ensuring that policies are reviewed, approved by management, and aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Manage statutory books, including registers of members, directors, and secretaries, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.

- Handle correspondence, collate information, and draft reports for various stakeholders. Effectively communicate decisions made during meetings to relevant company personnel.

- Actively participate in meeting discussions, leveraging your expertise to provide advice on legal, governance, accounting, and tax implications of proposed policies.

- Develop and oversee systems to ensure the company's compliance with relevant codes, laws, and regulations, as well as its own statutory obligations.

- Utilize your strong knowledge of business law to provide expert interpretation and guidance on legal matters affecting the organization.

- Collaborate with the legal, governance, accounting, and tax departments, providing insights and recommendations that contribute to informed decision-making.

- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and governance best practices to ensure the company's ongoing compliance and strategic alignment.

What skills you are expected to have:

- Company secretary with 10-12 years of experience in Financial Services/Internet Companies/Startup with IPO listing exposure will be preferred

- In-depth knowledge of corporate laws, regulatory requirements, and governance principles.

- Strong proficiency in drafting and communication, with the ability to produce accurate and concise reports, minutes, and documents.

- Experience in liaising with regulatory authorities and managing compliance obligations.

- Proficiency in interpreting legal provisions and applying them to business contexts.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively
