Responsibilities

The City General Manager / Manager [depending upon the city scale] will be the business leader for their entire city and ultimately state. They will have the skills and experience to successfully build and run what should effectively be treated like their own business.

- New market entry strategy planning and execution

- Defining and implementing the operational processes and procedures

- Strategic business partnerships development with various stakeholders of the city

- Recruit, train and lead the team: from operational staff to associates, as well as managing the external vendors

- Plan and Manage complete operations from Warehousing to logistics to Bike deployment / movement etc.

- Close interaction with government officials at council and state level

- Execution of local marketing campaigns and events, generating the loudest buzz in town

- Liaison with Country Head, other city managers and central functional leads

Requirements :

This role demands an entrepreneurial, analytical, competitive and emotionally intelligent individual with a proven track-record of successfully leading teams to achieve clear results. The role requires a mix of business development and strong hands on Field operational experience.

Skills sought after:

- Minimum 10+ years strong operational management or general management experience, with a successful business development track record

- Proven management and leadership skills

- Experience in sharing economy, internet business, bicycle industry, startup or dynamic high-growth company a strong plus

- Armed Forces, Delivery Companies, Management Consulting experience would be preferred

- Strong track-record of hitting targets, exceeding business expectations, managing impactful projects or impactful product lines

- Should have managed large work force and operations at a city level

- Strong analytical skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Strong academic background, at least bachelor degree and above

- Should be ready to re-locate if business demands (e.g. take up additional responsibilities of larger city, state or region after successfully launching a city)
