MIS Reporting Analyst - Investment Bank

We are currently hiring for - Sr. Analyst (Research Analytics Team) for one of the leading Investment Bank based in Mumbai.

Experience: 2 Yrs - 5 Yrs

Educational Background: BE/Btech/MBA Finance or similar

Mandatory requirement:

- Good knowledge of SQL, strong SQL query writing or development experience

- Experience in Reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services also abbreviated as SSRS

- Experience in Reporting, CRM Reporting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting

- Experience in building interactive tools, dashboards, analytical tools using any of the - Business Intelligence tools- (BI Tools) like - Tableau / Qlikview / Qliksense / Business Objects

- Experience in VBA

Overall purpose of role

The person will function as a data analyst within the Metrics and Analytics team. The overall purpose of the role is to:

1. Produce regular and ad hoc management information and exception reports, involving the integration of data from multiple sources and presenting data using relevant BI tools

2. Provide ongoing support and enhancements for a portfolio of regulatory compliance reports in SQL Server Reporting Services

Key Accountabilities

- Produce regular and adhoc reports using various datasets (related to CRM/Research usage metrics/Regulatory reporting/Financial Analysis). Complexity would range from fulfillment of ad hoc requests, generation of standardized reports through to fairly complex data analytics.

- Deliver reports, interactive tools and advanced dashboards by using BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or Business Objects.

- Provide ongoing support and enhancements for a portfolio of regulatory compliance reports in SQL Server Reporting Services

- Understand the purpose of the reports, analyse and gather relevant data and come up with creative ways to present the data meaningfully.

- Communicate directly with the stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss solutions proposed in terms of reports/ tools for continuous improvement.

- This position sits within the Research Operations team providing global support to Research Production, Research Management and the Compliance functions, and therefore requires someone who can effectively communicate and operate with teams across the organization, in multiple locations and time zones.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) with 2-4 years of hands on experience in management and exception reporting, BI and/or Excel Analytics.

- Strong SQL query writing experience.

- Good working knowledge of Excel

- Knowledge of financial concepts such as equity and debt financial instruments

- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Report development using SQL Server Reporting Services

- Experience in data visualization design and data analytics.

- Knowledge of at least one leading BI tool (preferably Tableau or Qlikview)

- Excel VBA experience

- Use of R for data manipulation
