Global Procurement Centre of Excellence Role

Position Overview:

Procurement Centre of Excellence role supporting Global Central Non-Commodity Procurement Team. The role will provide support in building a Matured NCP Procurement Organization by bringing proper Controls/ Compliance/ Processes and enabling Procurement Organization to utilize best practices for Procurement including Category Management / Strategic Sourcing / SRM/ Spend Analytics / Decision making based on data. The Procurement COE Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the Procurement organization and providing support in building a matured procurement Organization by enabling Category management & Strategic sourcing pricing including data and systems strategies within Olam Agri's procurement (Non-Commodity ) organization. This role contributes significantly to Olam Agri's procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Global Procurement COE - Providing support in building a matured Procurement Organization by enabling best in class Procurement Principles of Category Management/ Strategic Sourcing / Supplier Relationship management and supporting Procurement Team in data based decision making. The role will also support in ensuring right controls and compliance for procurement organization by building standard Processes and SOPs.

2. Spend Analytics: Utilize data analysis tools to analyze and interpret procurement spend data. Act as a credible member of the Central (Non-Commodity) Procurement management team, focused on optimizing spend transparency, effectiveness, and compliance through right IT and data structures. Driving continuous adoption and categorization of Master data as Material Taxonomy and supply taxonomy. Identify opportunities and collaborate with regional procurement teams to implement strategies to improve compliance, savings, performance and supply chain resilience.

3. Procurement Compliance Analytics: Monitor and analyze procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in procurement-related databases and systems. Perform regular data validation / pre audit review to maintain data quality. Identify areas of non-compliance and work with procurement stakeholders to implement corrective actions. Design and implement standards to uphold robust controls and best practices, ensuring full compliance.

4. Performance Management: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations. Analyze procurement performance data and provide actionable insights to improve procurement processes.

5. Vendor Database/ Material Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of vendor databases for site sharing and leveraging, enhancing supplier relationships and procurement efficiency. Supervise Material Management databases across the global organization, streamlining procurement processes for MM.

6. IT /System Integration: Collaborate with the corporate IT department to enhance SAP functionality where applicable (e.g., vendor lookup capability, online catalogs) and implement cutting-edge digital solutions. Ensure seamless integration of systems, consolidating where possible to maximize leverage opportunities and achieve economies of scale.

Organizational Responsibility and Scope:

The role has a global scope, covering all facets of Olam Agri's procurement organization. The Procurement Systems and Data Support Manager is held accountable for the effectiveness of information systems, aligning them with the organization's mission of increasing savings without compromising quality and service. This encompasses the following:

1. Preempting and meeting the organization's information requirements with effective solutions.

2. Maximizing spend transparency, efficiency, and compliance.

3. Fostering vendor relationships and material management excellence.

4. Collaborating across departments and implementing advanced digital solutions.

5. Streamlining P2P and S2C processes while ensuring user satisfaction.

Qualifications and Attributes for Success:

1. Experience: 7+ years of procurement experience within the agri-commodity/CPG sector. Good exposure to Procurement best Practices and applying Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Principles.

2. Procurement Systems Expertise: 5+ years of experience in procurement systems and digitalization.

3. Detail-Oriented: High need for accuracy and an unwavering attention to detail.

4. Adaptability: Ability to excel in situations with high ambiguity and adapt to changing business dynamics.

5. Analytical Thinking: Exceptional conceptual and analytical thinking skills.

6. Communication: Strong persuasive skills, capable of selling ideas with conviction and confidence, both orally and in writing.

7. Independence: Self-reliant and independent in approach, capable of leading with autonomy.
