Purpose of the Role :

To build business by identifying and selling prospects; they are involved in the presale process and work on maintaining relationships with clients. They help in implementing and executing key business strategies. They will be responsible for meeting a monthly and annual business target by converting leads and by performing pro-active business development activities like cold calling, client meetings, etc. We are adding new Business Development Manager positions because our sales department is growing fast. Our sales team is friendly and outgoing. The work environment is supportive and fast-paced.

Responsibilities & duties (not limited to) :

- Creating business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching, analyzing sales options, etc.

- Selling products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and existing customers in person, via telephone calls, eMails, etc.

- Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale; challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.

- Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors. Gathering market and customer information; feeding future buying trends back to employers; advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.

- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.

- Negotiating the terms of an agreement with a view to closing sales; negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.

- Liaising with sales coordinators to check the progress of existing leads/orders.

- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.

- To follow up all enquiries, preparing proposals where necessary and facilitating meeting with potential clients to show them our products & services; responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.

- Promotion of our products & services to new and existing clients through a pro-active approach, cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.

- Assisting in implementing the sales strategy as set by the Sales Manager, including strategies for encouraging repeat business and up-selling, liaise at all times with all team members to reach targets set by the Sales Manager; reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

- Record the progress of all enquiries in the existing MIS & CRM and translate into a monthly report, including source of business trends, enquiry conversion rates, future predicted sales and other reports as directed by the sales manager.

- Up-keep of a client and sales consultants database through CRM & MIS updating where necessary to allow effective promotions.

- To provide input and ideas into marketing initiatives and promote these initiatives and monitor responses.

- To maintain and develop contact with professional bodies and potential clients through attendance at networking and promotional events acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets

Experience and Qualifications :

- Grad/Post-grad Business/Technical Degree(BS/MS/MBA) or relevant industry experience.

- 0-5 years of sales executive/sales consultant/business development experience, a general understanding of the industry and sales environment, preferably 2 years of experience in inside or outside sales.

- You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) to a very high standard and possess strong communication skills, as liaison with clients and colleagues is a large focus within the job.

- Excellent people skills, teamwork, willingness to learn, organized, ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments, friendly, confident, well-organized, adaptability, team leadership roles, meet deadlines, creative problem solver, professional demeanor and attitude.

Motivation for Sales : High level of motivation, multi-tasking without getting stressed; understanding of systems, positive attitude.

Energy Level : Enterprising and resourceful - should be able to start new programs and ensure successful execution.

Business & Systems :

- Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Business Goals, Creativity, Sales Planning.

- Develop quick understanding of business environment, internal organization & ways of working. A fast learner who can quickly understanding and articulate new technologies and processes.

- Prior exposure to CRM & MIS will be highly advantageous; willingness to get trained on them.

- Establish rapport with key people in the organization and consultants to the company.

- Should be proficient in MS Excel (exhaustive), or any other spreadsheet application.

- Should be proficient in MS Word/word processor & any email application (OutLook/Eudora).
