Job Opening with an Investment Firm for Saudi Arabia Location

The opening is for Middle Office Operations.

Function will broadly cover the following in summary and role will expand as we establish the unit :-

1. Preparation of department policy and procedure manual

- Identify issues and control gaps in preparation of department manuals.

- Data normalization and standardized processes defined including MO policy manual

- Operational manual explaining all steps in calculations, evaluations and reporting

- Operational continuity plan (back-up plans for staff and system migration etc.)

2. Systems management

- System integration and adding functionality to the existing systems that support strengthening and smoothing the MO functions

- Existing Bloomberg system review and recommendations to effectively put it to highest possible usage of all data in close liaison with IT (Own the projects end-2-end)

- Automation and to co-ordinate with IT for specific enhancement/automation of any manual activities as per operational/Business/Regulatory requirements.

3. Regulatory and corporate actions

- Corporate actions processing: Requires accurate data and inputs from front office.

- Collateral management: Transparency of global exposure to counterparties.

- Proxy voting

- Understanding regulatory requirements and business implementations (with clear checklist of all regulatory norms for MO or related functions).

4. Confirmation and verification of pricing/Valuation

- Trade matching and settlement and reconciliations where necessary with operations.

- Over-the-counter (OTC) processing: Manual processes for capture and valuation.

- Investment accounting: Ability to process transactions and valuations across a growing number of asset classes.

- Pricing/valuation: Support modeled valuations and customized pricing hierarchies across products.

5. Performance evaluation and attribution

- Performance/attribution: Accurate real-time performance reporting requires straight-through processing of data.

- Independent evaluation of performance in comparison with similar strategy and objectives internally and among external managers

6. Performance reporting

- Preparation of all client reporting's such as valuation reports, periodic reports, Fact Sheets, periodic outlook presentations, product presentation updates, performance comparison among peers/benchmark relating to all funds and DPMs, Peer analysis review (subscriptions, redemptions, etc)

- Investment risk reporting: Aggregating position and referential data to compare to industry benchmarks.

- Responsible for quality and timeliness of all report deliverables(status reporting, issue tracking)

- Monthly reporting to management

- Communicate daily with FMs and technology partners on issues and discrepancies

- Reporting to the Fiduciary & Investment committee on any breach of investment process upon request
