- Responsible for providing advice and direction for the development of company marketing programs, media relations and PR activities, brand reputation, digital platforms and social media, internal communications and employee engagement.
- Responsible for the overall management of the company's Corporate Communications department.
External Communications :
- Establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employees, partners and customers.
- Direct the development and execution of global marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, trade shows and campaigns
- Manage the social media objectives of the organisation - identify and develop presence in relevant social media channels.
- Manage brand delivery and consistency across all communication channels and platforms.
- Manage and drive the content and marketing strategy for the company website and other external platforms including trade bodies
- Develop a PR strategy for the company and focus on enhancing media relations to build visibility and protect the brand reputation of the company.
Internal Communications :
- Develop and roll out the annual internal communications plan and calendar aligned to the organisational goals, vision and values
- Own, develop and manage the company intranet, newsletter and other online communication platforms
- Plan and implement a communications programme for the CEO and the leadership team. Provide support to drive key messages across various communication platforms.
- Develop & implement communications initiatives, channels and tool-kits to engage, educate and inspire employees on major initiatives
- Drive the crisis communication strategy of the company
- Create effective feedback loops to ensure communications are timely, topical and meaningful.
- Define desired outcomes, allocate accountabilities and establish metrics and measures to assess communication effectiveness.
Administrative :
- Build and manage the corporate communications budget.
- Develop and lead the Corporate Communications team including graphics designers, corporate communications specialists, media specialists and copy writers.
- Drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently
Skills :
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of internal and / or corporate communication activities, preferably in a global technology organisation.
- Excellent grammar and writing skills with experience in producing executive communications for senior leadership. - Digital / Social media knowledge & skills
- Awareness of various communication methods and channels and the ability to effectively utilize them.
- Ability to capture, collate and distill information and presenting it in a way that engages and informs the audience.
- The confidence to engage with and advise senior level leaders and the ability to connect with all levels of stakeholders.
Interpersonal and influencing skills :
- Ability to effectively disseminate information and handle complex or sensitive matters when required.
- Capability and interest in planning, organizing and executing all aspects of communication initiatives and events.
- Experience in effectively leading a team of people to achieve desired outcomes.
- Creative thinking, strong brand management fundamentals.
Education & Experience :
- Masters/Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or any business related field
- 15 - 18 years of experience in corporate or marketing communications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in people management, mentoring and coaching
