- Minimum 10+ years of industry experience. Experience in Network Management (Data and Voice)/ Data Centre / Server Management. .
- Analytical skills to identify, isolate, troubleshoot, suggest/recommend solutions
Technical Competency:
- Networks: Experience with IP networking, switching and routing along with deep packet analysis using tools for Routers, Switches, WLAN, WAN optimisers etc.
- Thorough understanding of switching and routing protocols especially Cisco products . Security: Experience with Security products and devices .
- Firewall, Proxy, VPN,IPS/IDS etc. including security incident response process and procedures and information security best practices. .
- Firewall/PIX / ASA/Checkpoint/Juniper : Configure & Verify Firewalls, hardware and software operation using all commands.
- Strong knowledge on all functionalities of PIX/ASA.
- Proxies :Troubleshoot hardware and software operation. Strong knowledge on all data flow. Should understand the business security policy. . Voice Infra:Experience with Contact centers . Avaya and VOIP technologies .
- Systems: Knowledge and hands-on experience on Server Hardware - Multiple Vendors, Remote Management Tools, Software & Hardware Raid, OS mgmt.
- Exchange Messaging Management: Working knowledge of Exchange, Installation & configuration, Administration, Knowledge of Exchange Disaster Recovery, Knowledge of IronPort/Mimesweeper (any email relay server) .
- Clustering: Working knowledge on Clusters, NLBs, Installation & troubleshooting hardware requirements for clusters & Knowledge of Cluster Directory.
- Active Directory: Working knowledge of active directory, user administration and management, FSMO Roles and knowledge of AD replication.
- Backup/Recovery: Working knowledge on Setup and Configuration of native & 3rd party backup management tools. Define Policy, Storage unit, Backup Pool, Retention. Knowledge on difference between Master & Media Server, Technical understanding of backup and restore type.
- Antivirus & Anti-spam: Working knowledge of native & 3rd party antivirus management tools, Virus definitions/signature update, etc. Knowledge about Virus, spam, Trojans, spyware . Mobility Server - Active Sync Client: Working knowledge of Mobility servers/device software. In-depth understanding message flow Roles and Responsibilities .
- Customer Management: Participate Program Performance Reviews, Drive Proactive Service Improvement plans, Identify new business opportunities through technology optimization/ advances, Escalations and Communications: Review and Publish RCA, Communication on Process and Technology Changes, Responsible for Managing Critical Issues, Ensure that critical issues are not repeated through proactive technology solutions
- Reporting: Reviewing and Publishing SOP, FMEA & KB, Problem management metrics .
People Management:
- .Ensure building of the Technical capability of the team, guide and mentor
- Review technical and process assessment ratings
- Responsible for KRA setting, Performance management & career planning for direct reports, Participation in operational or functional interviews ( Organization wide)
