Technology Knowledge on Server Hardware - Multiple Vendors, Remote Management Tools, Software & Hardware Raid, Clear network fundamentals & topology
Spare inventory life cycle
- Planning of spares (IT hardware full & component level) requirement based on failure analysis, distance between supply hub and installation base, installed population, business criticality of the installation, other risks
- Planning of distribution & stocking
- Repair vs procure cost based decisions
- Identify effective (cost, time, safety) means of movement of materials between hub, repair vendor, support base, locations etc
- Identify, assess, engage, review, improve support / repair vendor network to support the above
- Book keeping of stock
- Organize and manage stocking & stacking in ware houses and other storage locations
- Protection measures (insurance, other safety measures)
- Improving the documentation accuracy, ease, data integrity (by leveraging respective organizations)
- Audit and reconciliations
- MIS & reporting
- Knowledge on Macro is a Must
- ITIL certified is Must
- ITIL
