Micro Finance Institutions Network - Manager/Assistant Vice President - Communications

The role and responsibilities of Manager/Assistant Vice President, Communications will be as follows:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Content generation in collaboration with various verticals for social media platforms, media relation activities, publications.

- Manage MFIN website. Keep it current and relevant in terms of content and design.

- Continuously improve engagement rates.

- Create collaterals like annual report, brochures, newsletters, blogs and short movies.

- Editing and proof reading MFIN's publications and reports.

- Coordinate with vendors like media agency, and event management consultants for events.

- Managing press releases in national and regional newspapers and TV with the help of PR agency.

- Engage with members and associates to capture impact and outcome stories.

- Liaison with local media in case of a crisis at field level.

- Ensure appropriate media coverage of MFIN events.

Essential:

Qualification, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Core:

1. Graduate with a sound academic track record, and more than five years of relevant professional experience.

2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of Communications and PR functions

3. Knowledge of media relations work, either directly or working through a PR agency.

Desirable:

1. Postgraduate

2. Degree in communications or related field

3. Experience of working with development sector institutions etc.

4. Basic knowledge of financial services.

Skills and Abilities:

Core:

1. Good report drafting and analytical skills.

2. Excellent written and spoken English

3. Deft in planning, organizing, and integrating the work as proposed by the senior management.

4. A result-oriented professional with strong inter-personal skills.

5. Ability to work independently.

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of Design software for social media posts.

2. Proficient in Power Point

3. Exposure to concepts and terminology of financial services
