We are seeking a experienced and skilled Manager/Senior Manager specializing in Tax & Litigation to join our team at MGB. Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions in the areas of direct tax and corporate legal advisory. The ideal candidate should possess a strong track record of delivering valuable services to clients, along with in-depth knowledge of tax laws and litigation procedures. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

- Provide expert tax and legal advice to clients, offering valuable solutions and strategies in the areas of direct tax and corporate legal advisory.

- Represent clients before various appellate fora, including CIT (Appeals), Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, and Hon'ble Bombay High Court, in tax litigation matters.

- Draft and file appeals, writ petitions, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant legal procedures.

- Handle tax assessment proceedings, including preparing replies to income tax authorities and managing client interactions during assessments and audits.

- Conduct comprehensive research on tax and legal propositions, staying updated on relevant legislation, case laws, and judicial decisions.

- Provide legal opinions and advice on complex tax and corporate queries, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in tax laws and regulations, proactively advising clients on potential impacts and opportunities.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing support and fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications and Experience :

- LL.B. qualification is mandatory. (Chartered Accountant qualification will be preferred)

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in tax and litigation, preferably in a renowned tax consulting or legal firm.

- Proven expertise in direct tax and corporate legal advisory, with a demonstrated ability to provide valuable solution-driven services to clients.

- Strong experience in handling tax litigation matters and representing clients before appellate fora and courts.

- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and litigation procedures, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
