We have an urgent opening with METRO Cash & Carry India for the position of General Manager - HR.

METRO Cash & Carry India is a subsidiary of Germany based retail giant METRO AG currently having 16 Wholesale Cash & Carry Stores across India. Headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany, METRO Cash & Carry is the largest sales division of the € 67.3 Billion METRO Group, one of the world's leading international trading and retail companies with over 600 stores across 30 countries.

PROFILE REQUIREMENT :

- Full-time MBA (or equivalent) from a top B-school in India preferably XLRI & TISS / MDI / SCHMRD / IMT. (2004 - 2009 Batch)

- 6 - 12 years professional work experience in HR with at least 4 years experience in ER / IR.

- HR professionals working in FMCG / Retail / Manufacturing / Healthcare.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

a .Lead the People Engagement & Development Mandate for Units, partner with Unit Leadership teams to implement people initiatives & interventions.

b. Develop and implement business focused employee relations strategy (ER Road Map) for MCC India that meets the current and future needs of the organization.

c. Spearhead the New Store Expansion Mandate for MCC India(Timely/ Right Quality Hiring , Training,HR Processes Rollout & Implementation)

d. Drive Employee life cycle HR processes across units. (e.g. Recruitment , Employee Engagement , Performance Management, Talent Management , Recognition etc. )

e. Drive Talent mapping and succession planning for critical roles for units in coordination with corporate talent management team.

f. Drive Capability Building Mandate (Functional / Leadership Development) for Units.

g. Coach & Develop Line Managers on Key HR Process, Employee Relation Issues, Change Management, Grievances Handling, and Disciplinary action.

h. Ensure the organization compliance with central HR processes, Labour regulations & laws.

i. Manage Industrial Relations for the unit:Ensuring prompt & timely resolution of employee grievances & maintaining cordial employee relations. Negotiating and amicably settling disputes with the Union and maintaining discipline & harmonious working environment across all employee levels.Interfacing with Statutory Bodies - Ensuring that the teams are sufficiently staffed according to budgets
