DnA Hyderabad a.k.a Global Advanced analytics and Research Center (GARC) is part of larger Data and analytics organization (DnA) of MetLife focused on scaling data governance, data management, data engineering, data science/machine learning/ artificial intelligence, visualization, techno-project management capabilities, enabling a more cost-effective analytics operating model, and increasing data and analytics maturity across the MetLife global community. We are looking for you : High performing data and analytics professional - driven by passion and purpose, to drive quality standards and support end-to-end development of actionable, high-impact data and analytics solutions for MetLifes enterprise functions and lines of businesses across markets. - The portfolio of work delivers data driven solutions across key business functions such as customer acquisition and targeting, engagement, retention and distribution, underwriting, claims service & operations, risk management, investments, audit, and tackling hard, open-ended problems - This position is responsible for ensuring high quality business intelligence/visualization solutions are designed, developed, and deployed to production. The role will collaborate with Business, Data, BI & Insights teams to develop robust, stable analytical solutions leveraging the cutting-edge technologies and frameworks. Job Responsibilities: - Enable better decision making (for businesses & enterprise functions) through development and delivery of enterprise grade BI, insights & Visualization platforms and solutions - Lead solution design, development, and delivery of BI solutions - Architect contemporary, scalable and usable BI solutions - Provide technical guidance to global teams & team members - Deliver BI solutions through collaboration in a matrix, cross-functional organization - Develop and institutionalize best practices and re-usable components, contribute to research and experimentation efforts - Drive thought leadership in terms of best practices, sharing novel ideas, framing standards for enhancing BI and visualization capability - Demonstrate thought leadership by cross-skilling and up-skilling skills, contributing to research initiatives, knowledge sharing, experimentation, and innovation. - People leadership and stakeholder engagement - Lead, coach, support, and mentor team members set up performance goals, review their work as required, provide adequate guidance, feedback to help them achieve their goals and do right for Enterprise. - Participate in talent acquisition activities to build strong talent pool of Insights and visualization experts - Drive partner and stakeholder engagement with senior leadership teams across Data and analytics, IT and business teams Knowledge Skills & Abilities: - Bachelors degree in an information technology/computer science or relevant domain - 14+ yrs. of experience in the field of Analytics, Business intelligence, insights, and visualization. Technological skills: - Extensive experience at developing functional requirements and high-level & low-level design documents, designing KPIs - High proficiency and extensive experience in QlikView, Qlik sense, Power BI, SQL etc. - Strong understanding of data models like Star Schema, Snowflake schema etc. - Hands-on experience in analyzing large and complex data sets, performing descriptive and inquisitive analytics - Design and data analyses techniques to organize the presentation of data in visually innovative ways to make it easier to understand, insightful, and actionable by end users - General management, engagement, and project management skills: - Analytical and problem-solving skills to ideate, consult and propose solutions to meet/exceed requirements - Ability to meet deadlines for product deliverables in a timely, proactive, and entrepreneurial manner. - Strong leadership & negotiation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills - Agile project management methodologies Preferred: - Knowledge in Data Science /Data Engineering/Data Governance - Experience working in Insurance industry - Experience in Big Data technologies like Azure, AWS, Hadoop etc. MetLife: MetLife, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, is one of the worlds leading financial services companies, providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management to help its individual and institutional customers navigate their changing world.
