Job Role : Sales Head - India Region

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Head for India region to drive revenue growth and lead our sales organization to the next level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting a robust sales strategy, expanding into new markets, and building and leading a high-performing sales team across enterprise and government sales segments.

Location: Mumbai, India

Qualification:

Post-Graduation: MBA in Marketing; Working knowledge of Finance preferred.

Under-Graduation: Bachelor's degree in engineering (BE) - Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation.

Experience:

- Industry Experience: 15+ years in a sales profile with the last 2-4 years leading the Sales function in India.

- B2B product sales experience required.

- Experience in the Analytical Instruments/Testing industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing and implementing Sales Strategies for India region:

- Formulate sales strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.

- Identify and capitalize on potential new markets and opportunities.

- Analyse trends and data to devise effective sales plans for revenue growth.

- Drive new business acquisition and achieve revenue and margin targets.

- Drive solution based selling approach within the team.

2. Setting Sales Targets and Monitoring Performance:

- Set targets for the sales team understanding the market demographics and industries.

- Analyse sales data regularly and provide feedback to the regional sales manager.

- Adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.

- Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at all stages of development.

3. Managing the Sales Process:

- Lead & monitor the sales process from lead generation to conversion, thereby ensuring targets are achieved.

- Develop team capabilities to generate high-quality leads resulting in new projects and accounts.

- Develop business relationships with top brands and corporate clients.

- Attend relevant events and conferences to network effectively.

4. Managing and Motivating the Sales Team:

- Recruit, train, and coach sales team members.

- Ensure the team is equipped with necessary skills and resources.

- Monitor team and individual performance.

- Provide regular feedback and support to foster growth.

Required Qualities:

1. Customer Focus:

Strong client-focused mindset.

Ability to craft strategies to deliver solutions that address customer needs.

2. Strong Leadership Skills:

Effective leadership to inspire diverse teams.

Experience in building relationships and influencing cross-functional teams.

3. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Clear communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders.

Ability to interact with C-Level and decision-makers.

4. Deep Understanding of the Sales Processes:

Familiarity with sales methodologies, customer behaviours, and market trends.

5. Strategic and Analytical Thinking:

Ability to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

Proficiency in problem-solving and multitasking.

6. Proficiency in Analytics and Communication Tools:

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Salesforce preferred.
