Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller with expertise in both Indian and US financial laws to join our dynamic team. As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance, strategic financial planning, and effective financial management in alignment with both Indian and US regulatory frameworks. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization and driving excellence in financial practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

- Develop comprehensive financial strategies that align with both Indian and US business environments.

- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, considering the unique aspects of each market.

- Collaborate with regional teams to ensure financial plans support organizational goals.

2. Financial Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with Indian and US accounting standards.

- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and variances.

- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance. Internal

3. Controls and Risk Management:

- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, considering the specific regulatory requirements in both India and the US.

- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with operations in both regions.

4. Tax Compliance:

- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws in both India and the US, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

- Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.

5. Legal Compliance:

- Monitor changes in financial regulations and legal requirements in both markets.

- Ensure the organization's adherence to Indian and US laws, including but not limited to SOX compliance.

6. Cash Flow Management:

- Manage cash flow to meet operational needs in both markets.

- Implement strategies to optimize working capital efficiency.

Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Experience:

- Proven experience in financial leadership roles with a focus on both Indian and US markets.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian and US financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.

- Experience in multinational companies or organizations with operations in both regions is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey financial insights to diverse stakeholders.

- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead and mentor finance teams across geographies.

- Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory environments and business needs in both India and the US.

Technology Proficiency:

- Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
