Summary of Job Objective & Description

Responsibility for effective compliance with tax laws. He has to play a supportive role to Management for taking appropriate business decisions affecting taxation.

Job Description:

- Lead the discussion with senior counsels and tax advisors

- Design, drive and implement tax strategies for the company

- Advising executive committee on taxation matters across the group

- Ensure compliance with all Direct and Indirect tax rules and regulations applicable to the company

- Handling Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing, VAT audit and statutory audit related requirements

- Filing of income Tax, Service tax, VAT Return

- Handling Income Tax Assessment, rectifications, refunds and tax litigations

- Handling departmental audits, enquires, notices etc

- Looking after compliance in respect of state level taxes relating to company business such as Local Body Tax, Advertisement tax etc

Key Deliverables -

1. Timely compliance with taxation rules and regulations.

2. Take appropriate tax positions which will reduce risks for the company

3. Tax Planning

4. Handling audits

5. Liasioning with Tax departments, senior counsels, Auditors

Experience required [in years]:

- A Qualified Chartered Accountant with 7-8 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 3-4 year of experience should be with independent job responsibilities preferably in the service industries in a multi location environment.

- Experience of working in a fast moving, multi- cultural environment with in depth knowledge of taxation.
