Mergers & Acquisition Role - Corporate Strategy

- Our client is a leading content and digital media player. As a well-funded and established firm with operating track record of 10+ years, they are now looking to diversify and build a Content to Commerce business.

- The client is now looking to build a formal M&A practice. The candidate will work directly with senior members and founders of the Client team.

- Client is looking to acquire companies in the D2C space - including leading brands across categories of Fashion & Lifestyle, Electronics, Beauty and Personal Care, and Foods & Beverages.

- The role involves end to end involvement in the transaction lifecycle, starting from competitive benchmarking, market dynamics, and researching potential targets.

- Discussing findings and scoping out value accretive transactions under the guidance of senior members of the team.

- Financial modelling - preparing 5 year projections and budgets based on operational and market assumptions for the target companies

- Company Valuations using DCF and relative valuation methods

- Commercial and Financial Due diligence

- Transaction structuring, Negotiation of term sheets and working with legal on long form documents

- Assisting with integration of portfolio companies.

Ideal candidate :

- At least 3+ years of transaction experience in D2C domain (either of Fashion & Lifestyle, Electronics, Beauty and Personal care, Food and Beverages) is mandatory.

- Total experience of 5-7 years in M&A, commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, transaction structuring

- Experience in building powerful dashboards using tools like Power BI

- You should have been working in either of the following roles

- Consulting or Commercial Due Diligence teams of Big 4 firms, or other due diligence/ independent valuation firms.

- Boutique investment banks (sell side advisory) or buy side firms like PE funds/ VC firms

- M&A teams, Corporate strategy, Corporate finance or Corporate development teams of companies in the D2C space as described above

- Engineer + MBA, CA, or CA + MBA (preferred)
