This position will be based in Mumbai and/or Bangalore, India and will be responsible for supporting on opportunities including: mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, and strategic partnerships and alliances. This individual will be expected to act as a business partner to Amazon's senior leaders and work closely with the corporate development team which is responsible for originating and supporting acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. He or she will provide advisory assistance by building a pipeline of external opportunities, conducting industry research, driving valuation analyses, organizing due diligence, and presenting recommendations to Amazon's corporate development and business leadership teams.   Select past acquisitions and minority investments include: Zappos, Quidsi, Kiva Systems, Goodreads, Lovefilm. Audible.com, Shopbop.com, Woot.com, Abebooks, EngineYard, BillMeLater, and LivingSocial.   Objectives  Key Strategic Objectives   - Identify external opportunities which support Amazon's strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and organic pipeline generation   - Advise business units on the merits of expansion opportunities and evaluate the benefits of potential acquisitions, minority investments, and strategic partnerships  - Advise Amazon leadership on business attractiveness, valuation, deal structuring, diligence, integration and the possibility of driving value creation post-close.  - Work with cross-functional groups and advise on a wide range of deal related issues.   Ideal Candidate Profile  Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree required.
