Merck Group - Head - Statistical Programming

Your role:

As the Head of Statistical Programming India, you are a true leader that will support the Global Statistical Programming Team to deliver its portfolio effectively and efficiently. Specifically, you will develop the capacity and capabilities of a team based in our R&D Hub in India and actively contribute to the development of statistical programming standards, conventions, and best practices. You will ensure that all functional activities under your responsibility and/or supervision are performed to meet the defined timelines and quality expectations.

In this role, you will demonstrate leadership in delivering in a matrix organization towards both the global Project Teams and the global Biostatistics Function (support best practice, drive innovation, adhere to processes). You will be a member of the Global Statistical Programming extended leadership team.

Who you are:

- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related health science

- At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including support of regulatory filings. Experience in an international environment is a plus.

- Broad expertise in statistical programming and in developing computing strategies

- Proven success in leading a Statistical Programming team within clinical development

- Proficient knowledge of drug development process, regulatory guidance, industry standards and statistical concepts
