Merchandising Head - Internet/Online

The role of a Merchandising head is to drive sourcing strategies that meet & exceed the development goals - through the identification of new products, leveraging sourcing, costing efficiency and ensuring the consistent delivery of quality product from time to time.

Responsibilities / Functions Include:

1. Oversee the operations & functioning of the overall merchandizing team

2. Responsible for all present product categories including but not limited to

- Mobile & Tablets

- Kitchen

- Home

- Fashion

- Beauty & Health

- Apparel

- Jewelry

- Car Accessories

3. Responsible for

- Price optimization

- New product discovery

- New vendor creation

4. Building vendor relationship & development thereof

5. Create & achieve annual operative plans - category wise

- Increase sales percentage

- Improve margins

- Increase vendors

6. Collaborate with creative team for content development

7. Launch new product categories form time to time

8. Maintaining the life cycle of product line

9. Responsible for customer satisfaction for various product - maintaining quality of the products for better CSAT (customer satisfaction)

10. Responsible for margin retention & commission optimization

11. Ensure product profitability

12. Key to success include sound judgment and excellent written/verbal communication skills

- Should have extensive exposure on multiple merchandizing category from retail format

- Someone who has worked extensively in retail format
