Merchandising Assistant

Required

Exp : 3-8 years in merchandising with leading FMCG industry only

Qualification : Design education (Diploma /Degree) from NIFT / NID

Job Responsibilities :

- Managing merchandising initiatives for permanent and promotional activity.

- He/she will work closely with the events & marketing functions.

- Will be required to continually meet changing business needs and drive the brand image through innovative and qualitative in store displays.

- Will be involved with a number of projects to benefit the business and have budget responsibility.

- working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise customer interest and sales.

- analysing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colours or styles) and ensuring that bestsellers reach their full potential.

- planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges.

Professional Skills Required :

- Creativity is the key skill coupled with above-average ability for artistic expression.

- Technical and design expertise (e.g. modular design, props, lighting, etc) are helpful besides the knowledge of fashion and art/design industry trends and forecasts and an ability to work well with others.

- Commercial sense & accounting is a must for this profile, should be able to keep track of the day to day spends with monthly and yearly budgeting (knowledge of MS excel, MS presentation is a must)
