Job Overview : The candidate would be part of the team providing Energy Portfolio Management Services to a large Govt. distribution utility Client. Candidate would be required to interact with Client on a day to day basis for various activities involving Demand Forecasting, Portfolio Optimization and undertaking power trades in collective and bilateral markets. Roles and Responsibilities : - To support in daily activities using Mercados jouleOS Suite related to: - Day ahead and Intra Day Demand Forecasting. - Running Dispatch Model. - Managing the power portfolio management through energy optimization tools. - Scheduling of generating Units based on merit order and using the dispatch optimization model. - Management of power schedule of State utilities and generators to ensure uninterrupted supply to end users. - Supporting the Client and analysts in activities related to energy trading and energy accounting. Experience and Qualification : - Minimum 2-8 years experience in power markets involving activities such as demand forecasting/ Power Systems/Generation Scheduling & Dispatch/Power Markets/ Power Trading/Power Operations. (Mandatory) - Strong school academic record (Mandatory) - B.Tech. in Electrical/ Mechanical ONLY from IITs/NITs and top Govt. Funded Technical Institutes ONLY (Mandatory) - MBA or M.Tech / M.S in Power Systems with exposure to Power System Load Flow Analysis/ Power System Optimization Studies (Preferable) Required Skills : - Strong understanding of Electricity Markets in India. - Basic understanding on Regulations related to Power Markets, Grid Code, Connectivity, Tariff etc. - Good Report writing and Excel Skills (mandatory). - Quick learner. - Good Communication Skills Working conditions / Location : - Multiple locations in North India and the applicant should be ready for travel and relocation to any other place (if required).
