As a strategic finance manager, you will play key role in driving the finance department and are at front row to help us manager the organization's growth. In this role, you will work directly with Director - Finance, support our strategy process for multi-geography, multi-entity, complex people structures. Further, you will be heavily involved in the important strategic initiatives for the finance department. Incumbent must possess strong business acumen. Key Responsibilities. - Undertake and deliver a range of advanced strategic finance forecasting, reviews, data analytics, reporting, and modelling services. To manage and contribute to capital planning and evaluations processes; provide finance advice, insights, and recommendations. This activity supports and informs executive decision making, programmes, initiatives, projects, and policy creation. - Actively contributing to a high-performance team environment, providing excellent service, and identifying finance and business improvement practices. - Initiate and complete strategic financial analysis and projects. Provide appropriate and reliable financial advice, recommendations, and expert technical interpretation on complex strategic and operational matters; and demonstrate leadership when collaborating with others. - Prepare, analyses and review a variety of complex financial documents, reports and proposals including business cases, capital investment proposals, submissions, briefing and discussion papers, ensuring comprehensiveness, accuracy, and timeliness. Proactively anticipate customer needs and tailor communications to the audience. - Build and maintain appropriate financial data and analytical models to support robust data and information analysis, finance intelligence research, and undertake advanced statistical and financial forecasting, scenario modelling and trends analysis - Continuously monitor and review policy, procedure and guidance material ensuring alignment with objectives and user-functionality. - Take a lead and build and foster strong relationships and work collaboratively with the Strategy, financial accounting, analytics & reporting team members, the Project Management teams, to ensure capital planning and evaluation processes are fully aligned with organization's objectives and supported in an integrated way. Provide proactive specialist support and governance services to related committees and proposers. - Critically evaluate Capex & Opex proposals and provide constructive support to preparers and finance advisory team to ensure submissions to executive leadership, committees, and council are robust and of high quality. - Create, prepare, and generate regular and ad-hoc reports and ensure inclusion of data in periodic financial reports in accordance with deadlines and/or statutory requirements - Keep abreast of current and emerging trends, government policy and statutory requirements to identify areas for fiscal and business improvements. Undertake reviews, financial modelling, and data analytics, of existing organizational processes, systems and operating models to seek opportunities for improvement - Develop and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders to determine financial data/information availability; to build in-depth understanding of business needs and requirements; to anticipate customers' needs and to identify strategic opportunities to enhance the organizations fiscal position - Seek new opportunities for problem solving and enhancing the strategic finance activity through collaboration with peers to maximize efficiency and leverage collective knowledge to ensure high quality and continuous improvement Key Relationships: Internal: Chairman, Board of Directors Director - Finance Leadership & Other members of the KEF Holdings CEO, CXO's, Leadership team members of other business entities. Other stakeholders (as appropriate) Project Management Teams External: - Independent Directors Consultants, Senior Executive with external organizations, Bankers, government agencies, peers from other relevant institutions Qualification & Experience Essential. - Qualified Chartered Accountant | Certified Public Accountant - 10+ Years of relevant experience of providing a diverse range of finance services in a large or complex organization - Strong Business Acumen - Extensive experience in forecasting, financial modelling, critical evaluation and change recommendations to proposals, project outcomes and operating practices - Proven success in writing and providing financial technical support for business cases and proposals. - Strong stakeholder Management - Proven experience in establishing and maintaining professional, collaborative, and effective relationships with peers, managers, and leaders - High degree of computer literacy and numerical data analysis skills - advanced excel. Proficiency in Microsoft suite programs, ERP Implementation. - Understanding of business systems in high-growth organizations - Solid understanding of accounting principles. - High level of technical financial competency including analysis and reporting Comprehensive understanding of sources of financial and other risks inherent with business practices and service delivery.
