About Meesho :

Meesho is building a disruptive distribution channel via social selling on WhatsApp, Facebook, and other social channels. Meesho has so far enabled more than 50 thousand suppliers and 7 million entrepreneurs to start and grow their online business without any investment, providing tools around sourcing, logistics and payments. These entrepreneurs are small retailers, housewives, students, retired citizens, and many other aspiring entrepreneurs across India.

Meesho is Series D funded with a new investment round led by South African company Prosus (Naspers Ventures) along with participation from Facebook and existing investors such as Elevation (SAIF), Sequoia, Shunwei Capital, RPS and Venture Highway. Meesho is headquartered in Bengaluru, India and was one of the three Indian companies to be selected for Y Combinator in 2016. It was also a part of the first batch of Google Launchpad - Solve for India programme.

About Farmiso :

Grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spend in India and is projected to be a $800B market in 2024, of which the majority contribution comes from non-metro cities. Grocery market in Metro and Tier 1 has become crowded with a lot of players trying to solve the supply chain but the higher cost of logistics restricts these players to disrupt the lower tiers.

At Farmiso, we are building the most cost-effective distribution channel using micro entrepreneurs to disrupt the grocery market in lower tier cities of India. We are onto the journey of creating a hyperlocal farmer marketplace for fresh food and vegetables and solve the intermediate inefficiencies in the distribution system.

Farmiso is an early stage mini start-up within Meesho with a completely different supply chain and modus operandi. We are a bunch of high energy enthusiasts working towards creating something cool and something big.

Job Brief :

This role will lead the warehouse design function for Farmiso. It will include design or redesign of business processes to improve operational efficiency in warehouses. Analyze, implement, and update processes so as to ensure the optimal metrics in warehouse scenario. The key objectives of this roll will entails :

1) Responsible to drive innovations & scalable automations enhancing efficiency, hygiene and cost optimization across warehouses.

2) Perform business process mapping, requirement analysis, solution design & delivery, and project management activities.

3) Designed solution through Automation Process to solve exceptions of repetitive pattern there by reducing manual work.

4) Strategize, plan and develop team to fulfil all the business requirements.

5) Opportunity to build a business ground up and be a part of the success story of the most disruptive F&V and grocery supply chain.

6) Opportunity to design, implement and execute the design principles.

7) Time motion study about our existing warehouse processes and inputs to remodel them for best efficiency.

Potential Background :

1) 3+ years of consulting experience and 2+ years of experience in a high growth opp based start-ups.

2) 5+ years of consulting & operations experience.

3) Looking for candidates from IIT/ISB/IIM A,B,C.
