In the last five years, Meesho has enabled 10 million entrepreneurs, mostly women, to create their own professional identity, grow their businesses, and become flag bearers of change in their communities.
Meesho is Series D funded with an investment round led by Prosus (previously known as Naspers) along with participation from Facebook and existing investors such as Elevation Capital (previously SAIF Partners), Sequoia, RPS and Venture Highway in 2019. We have raised $190 M till date.
Position Summary:
Seeking a Content Lead who can help create the perfect experience for Meesho's customers within the app. We are looking for a leader who can drive content development for all touch points and execute best in class promotional strategies, thereby impacting metrics. The candidate should have a working knowledge in collaborating with design and category teams, among other departments to develop effective content.
Key responsibilities of the Role -
- Lead a team of content writers to create compelling in-app communication, keeping in mind the customer journey on the app (banners, category pages, web view, SMS, Push Notifications, etc)
- Understanding the consumer profile, their usage behaviour and needs to craft the most compelling communication
- Create and track monthly execution plans for in-app communication
- Stay on top of relevant metrics to ensure constant improvement and quality check for better results
- Keep abreast of industry best practices, innovations, that could improve relevant metrics within the app
- Liaise with various stakeholders within the organization to optimise for the platform
Requirements:
- Exceptional copy editing and writing skills
- Skilled at writing effective headlines/taglines for banners
- Strong conceptual, presentation, storytelling skills, with an attention to detail
- Good understanding of e-commerce best practices
- Past ad agency experience is a plus
Basic Qualifications :
- 4+ years of content writing experience - UX, digital platforms and campaigns
- Strong understanding of communication techniques used in digital and social platforms
- Proven ability to work with cross functional teams, understand their requirements, and translate them to the team
- Can work independently to solve complex problems
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors in Arts/BMM or a Masters/MBA degree
- Prior writing experience in fashion/e-commerce
