Communication Manager

- The Communications team at Meesho is bringing to life stories of how the company is enabling the online success of every Indian business. We are looking for a team member who shares the passion to change the game for a billion Indians through compelling stories and narratives.

Job description:

- Build Meesho's corporate narrative by establishing how the company is solving for a billion Indians through traditional and digital PR channels

- Work with internal stakeholders across tech, product, HR and business to identify and create compelling stories

- Work with cross functional teams to drive consistent PR visibility for the brand across key verticals like technology, tech, business & HR

- Analyze and interpret internal data to create new story ideas

- Work with key industry bodies to identify opportunities where Meesho's brand/policy narratives can be highlighted

- Build strong and trusting relationship with regional and national media

- Conceptualize and implement successful PR campaigns with measurable results

- Actively track and map media/journalists relevant for stories about Meesho

- Efficiently manage day-to-day PR agency deliverables

- Ideate and execute messaging for earned and owned internal/external channels

- Develop content for opinion pieces, media responses, press releases, etc.

Requirements:

- Graduation/post-graduation in communications and/journalism.

- 7-8 years of experience specializing in tech, start-up and business media

- Strong relationships with journalists and publications covering technology, startups and e-commerce

- Experience in dealing with international media

- Ability to manage key stakeholders at the CXO level

- Openness to collaborate with teams across the organization to identify and create story opportunities

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
