PREFERABLY FROM TIER 1/ 2 B-SCHOOLS

Must haves:

- 4-5 years of people management experience; with overall atleast 8 years of experience

- Experience in warehouse & transport logistics (both)

- Ideal candidate should be from medical device/ pharma/ FMCG/ consumer durable/ automobile spare parts industry

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement logistics strategy (warehousing & transportation) that addresses capacity issues to achieve business goals

- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistic processes

- Ensures that customer service objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints

- Builds relationships & drives accountability with logistics service providers

- Communication with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operation

- Monitor key performance indicators i.e. service, cost and cash and coordinate with cross-functional work team to achieve business targets

- Supervising a team of 8 team members who are focus ed on tactical, operational and some strategic activities within a specified area. On a daily basis, majority of time will be spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing performance, developing talent, communicating business and operational developments

- A key responsibility is mentoring & coaching staff on meeting performance expectations which can include defining objectives, providing leadership to staff, ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward company goals

- Integrates market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position

- Ensure strict compliance to all legal, regulatory, statutory and ethical norms.
