Medtronic is looking forward to hire a talented individual for one of its initiative that works towards launching businesses that transform healthcare for underserved patients in emerging geographies by bringing locally-appropriate services, solutions, and products to market. This person will be supporting its Program Manager (in India) in its priority program to develop a solution for diabetes for underserved patients Key Responsibilities: - Lead finalizing solutions and potential business models to increase access to diabetes treatment among underserved populations in India. This will be based on the already conducted need assessment &amp; solution brainstorming sessions (Jan- Feb 2018) - Establish strategy, requirements, schedule and budget for in-market business model validation/assumption testing of the shortlisted business models. This will be with an objective to narrow down to a final solution/business model which Labs will then implement as a scalable and sustainable social business. - Lead in preparation and implementation for pilot of the chosen solution and model, deriving key learning for it, and iterating the model to prepare for limited commercial launch - Be proactive in identifying and deepening partnerships in the market needed for the business model to be implemented during assumption testing and pilot phase (this will include close cooperation and working with the MDT Diabetes India (DIB) team who have deep knowledge of, and relationships with, relevant stakeholders in country).. This work will also build on the already existing knowledge within Labs on diabetes landscape - Govt, NGO, pharma &amp; start ups - Day in and day out, work closely with (and work to build relationships with) a cross functional team across Medtronic (clinical, Diabetes, Diabetes India, product development) to ensure efficient implementation of the above tasks. Execution of the DIB India Labs pilot, and social business, will depend on working closely with partners across Medtronic India, so it essential to work across the company matrix in order to achieve success. - Provide ongoing project status updates to Medtronic Labs leadership and to stakeholders across Medtronic more broadly Must Have: Minimum Requirements - Bachelor degree in Business/ Health/Engineering Science/ Design with minimum of 5 years- experience in Strategy, marketing and/or business modelling; relevant experience in innovation (product, process or business model innovation) ; and Project and/or people management experience Or Master degree in Business/ Health/ Engineering Science with minimum of 2-3 years- experience in Strategy, marketing and/or business modelling; relevant experience in innovation (product, process or business model innovation) ; and Project and/or people management experience - Experience in healthcare industry (preferably public health) or Education industry (preferably with experience in innovative education models) or FMCG industry (preferably in food) or Healthcare start-up sector (Social/commercial), or relevant industries/consulting firms (e.g. product/process design consulting firms) Nice to Have: Experiences: - Experience in entrepreneurship- either as part of a start-up, a venture-building, new product development or new business creation group within a larger corporation, or as a consultant helping clients build new businesses - Experience in social sector or social impact - work which indicates a commitment to, and passion for, improving the lives of underserved and low-income populations around the globe - Experience with human-centered design/ Business model innovation process PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Travel requirement will be 50% or more - Job Location: Priority is Delhi.
