About the job

We are looking for a dynamic & highly proficient Financial Analyst who would be responsible for building financial analysis models to drive both long range strategic & everyday operational decisions.

Your responsibilities

- Work with internal teams to get a deep understanding of business operations, including the potential impact of financial decisions on various business stakeholders.

- Organize, analyze, collate and summarize requested financial data and insights using appropriate analytical methodologies and frameworks to help the business make the necessary financial/investment decisions.

- Actively monitor and making buy / sell / hold recommendations on the portfolio holdings.

- Analyze company revenue models, cost structures, and financial statements to determine a company value, identify the key drivers and project future earnings and managerial effectiveness.

- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis across various sectors / companies, assessing current trends in business practices, products, and industry competition.

- Keep abreast of new regulations or policies that may affect the industry, as well as monitor the economy to determine its effect on earnings.

- Use spreadsheet and statistical software packages to analyze financial data, spot trends, and develop forecasts.

- Write reports and make presentations, usually making recommendations to buy or sell a particular investment or security

- Demonstrate the acumen to build various detailed financial forecasting models for various business planning & optimization needs, driving operational decision making as well strategic thinking.

- Weekly, Monthly, Annual Variance Analysis & reporting.

- Deep analysis of cost variance vs forecast.

- Improve company financial health by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.

- Optimizing business planning from the financial planning perspective in collaboration with executive office & business teams to attain the best cost outcome through scenario analysis.

- High level & deep dive data analysis using advanced Excel and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analysis to senior management for strategic decision-making from time to time.

- Increase productivity & overall efficiency by introducing automation, eliminating duplication of effort & co-ordinating/collating information requirements.

Your competencies, skills, and qualifications

- 3-4 years of experience as a financial analyst, with strong financial proficiency including familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

- Proficiency in SQL, Advanced Excel, VBA Macros and exposure with Data Warehouse ETL queries, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle and or cognos.

- CA / CFA / MBA with 3 to 4 years of experience in Equity Research/Company Valuation / Due-Diligence For Private Equity/Finacial Research & Modelling

- Expertise in equity analysis and valuations across various sectors of the markets.

- Capable of working in a dynamic & rapidly changing environment.

- Should have the ability to manage change.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
