The team is also a leading provider of training services in the infrastructure space, and is quickly building its reputation for delivering advisory and valuation services to major clients. In relation to valuations work, Mazars has performed valuations of more than $3 billion of investments in infrastructure and energy assets over the past 18 months, typically in one of two contexts: - Valuing funds- asset portfolios on an ongoing basis to help them with their reporting obligations - Valuing assets being acquired or sold, often by related parties At Mazars, we carry out these evaluations using infrastructure specialists, whilst also working in close conjunction with our corporate valuation colleagues. A successful candidate will hold significant experience in valuations experience, including some infrastructure experience, to play a central role in overseeing valuation analysis and producing valuation reports for our clients. Job Role:: Responsibility for delivery of valuation engagements - Assume day to day responsibility for a portfolio of valuation assignments across multiple infrastructure sectors, including both debt and equity valuations - Ensure the team's risk management procedures are followed and that valuations are informed by technical rigor in all assignments - Ensure that reports are of a high standard and delivered to deadlines - Lead on the research and analytical work informing our valuation opinions - -Manage key clients and significant projects independently under limited associate director/partner supervision - Develop and sustain own competencies needed to perform the above role, including building up sector expertise. - Develop junior members of the team, through effective management in assignments, and mentoring in developing specific skills and capabilities + delivering training if required. - Financial management, helping to ensure that valuation team budgets are met and assisting with provisioning and billing. - Contribute to business development initiatives, as well as the vision of the team and valuation service line, as required. Job Specifications: The successful candidate should hold significant experience in an advisory firm, lender, fund or sponsor in the infrastructure sector, and in particular will have the following: 1. Infrastructure Valuation experience : (a) Broad and deep international valuation experience required, at least 6 years, across sectors and in multiple contexts (transactions, disputes, corporate restructuring etc- ) (b) Strong analytical capability and, in particular, clear evidence of ability to get to the heart of the matter quickly in new sectors/markets (c) Some experience of infrastructure sector and energy sector work required (d) Ability to interpret and operate a detailed project finance model required. The candidate should be strongly numerate, analytical with the ability to learn/ improve this skill over time (e) Understanding of value drivers in debt and equity required (f) Clear evidence of report writing capability and ability to lead valuations with minimal supervision; strong written English is essential (g) Experience of valuing in multiple countries (h) Experience of applying different valuation methodologies (i) Understanding of how to use Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other valuation tools 2. Client experience : (a) Experience of managing client relationships and working with large corporations and funds (b) Experience of providing valuations for listed companies (c) Understanding of processes in large accountancy firms like Mazars, including engagement and client take-on processes (d) Credibility in front of clients that comes through experience of running meetings and presenting material in a structured way. 3.
